51 Cullen Street Nimbin NSW

Nimbin Hemp Embassy is a non-profit organisation that advocates for the reform of Australia’s drug laws. The embassy was established in 1992 in the Northern NSW town of Nimbin.

The embassy sponsors the Nimbin MardiGrass Cannabis Law Reform Rally, which is a peaceful protest that runs annually. MardiGrass includes internationally-renowned conference The Hemposium. The rally is held on the first weekend in May and draws in local and international visitors.

Nimbin Hemp Embassy also works to educate Australians on cannabis year-round. The embassy runs regular workshops on medical cannabis and runs an extensive library of resources on industrial hemp, medical cannabis and drug law reform.

The organisation sponsors a range of local projects and groups, including Nimbin’s Aboriginal Cultural Centre.

Nimbin Hemp Embassy supports their organisation through its online store, which offers hemp-based skincare, clothing, accessories, linen and a range of cannabis-themed collectables. You can also find the Embassy shop in Nimbin, where it is staffed by local volunteers.
