Founded in 2016, Little Green Pharma started off with a patented small-particle formulation created to improve the quality of life of a child suffering from seizures. As the medicinal cannabis industry was emerging both in Australia and all over the world, they worked on product development, sales, marketing and cultivation capabilities to seize company growth opportunities. They were the first Australian medicinal cannabis company to provide national access to locally grown medical-grade cannabis products.

Since their inception, Little Green Pharma has acquired Federal Office of Drug Control licensing to cultivate and produce medicinal cannabis, as well as license to export from the Federal Department of Health. They were also granted a patent for their small particle liposomal delivery system and subsequently secured business agreements with organizations in Canada, Germany and New Zealand.

Little Green Pharma medicinal cannabis is Australian grown and produced in line with Therapeutic Goods (Standard for Medicinal Cannabis) (TGO 93) Order 2017. They provide medical cannabis preparations in the form of medicinal cannabis oils extracted from the whole plant and blended with carrier oils. These preparations have a variety of THC and CBD ratios to best suit the patient’s needs.

Little Green Pharma’s head office and manufacturing plant are in Perth, while cultivation facilities are in the Southwest of Western Australia. They are expanding overseas to accommodate their growth in international markets. They also work to progress research and development of medicinal cannabis products by supporting medical education, scholarships and clinical research.
